Careless Love is 2 Blue Shoes’ 2004 release. The cover tune is an old standard, rewritten numerous times. In true respect to this heritage, Smokey has added a story with blatant disregard for political correctness.

The new lyrics slam the ultimate ethnic majority and place Smokey’s housecat in a precarious gastronomic dilemma. The cover art by Smokey depicts the e-waiters with feline menus. Other songs, another original Blue Shoes Falling from the Sky, and covers from Tom Waits, Keb Mo, and Bob Marley complete this album.
